What's legal
Oklahoma has no legal sports betting. Tribal casinos run under compacts set by the State-Tribal Gaming Act, and the games those compacts cover do not include wagering on sports. Casino games, bingo and horse racing are legal. Betting on the outcome of a game is not.
With no licensed market, Oklahoma has no sportsbook regulator, no licensed app and no betting age to cite.
Neighboring states differ. Kansas, Missouri and Colorado have licensed mobile betting, and Texas has none. A bet is legal only when you are physically inside a state that allows it, so crossing a border helps only if you place the bet while you are there.
Crypto and offshore sites
No licensed sportsbook exists in Oklahoma to accept crypto. Offshore crypto sportsbooks hold no license in Oklahoma or any other state. If one holds your balance and stops paying, no state regulator can step in. Report a dispute with an offshore site to your bank or card issuer, and expect that recovery is unlikely.
What's changing
HB 1047 passed the House 62 to 31 in March 2025. It would have authorized tribal sportsbooks, with online platforms partnering with tribes. The Senate rejected it 21 to 27 on April 22, 2026, and the deadline to reconsider the vote passed on April 28.
Gov. Kevin Stitt has opposed tribal-exclusive sports betting bills, saying exclusivity would clash with a free market. His office criticized the current tribal compact as opaque and below market rate. Stitt is term-limited, and the next chance to pass a bill is the 2027 session.
Tax note
Oklahoma taxes gambling winnings as income. The top state rate fell to 4.5% for 2026, and federal tax applies on top. Winnings are taxable however you bet. See the Woyale tax guides for federal rules, and ask a tax professional about your state return.
